Meet and Greet

The Meet and Greet is a free and mandatory meeting between all humans and pets that will be interacting with each other.  It will be held, preferably a minimum of a week before, the first service is provided to make sure that all parties involved are comfortable with each other.  The meeting will occur at the location of the services.  


During the meeting the following will occur:


If the service is for In-Client-Home Pet Sitting, Doris will need to bring her dog, Lola to the client’s home during the service.  In this scenario, Lola, will accompany Doris to the Meet and Greet to ensure that all pets and Lola get along well.

Scheduling

To request a service, call, text or email A&B Pet Care, LLC as soon as the service dates are known.  

Prior to the week requiring a service, A&B Pet Care, LLC will send an email outlining the scheduled services, dates and times.  The email acts as a reminder for everyone and to make sure everyone agrees on the service details.  It gives time for any changes or cancellations to be made before fees are assessed.

Cancellations

As soon as a cancellation or service change is known, A&B Pet Care, LLC should be contacted via a telephone call, text, or email.  If the request is received less than 24 hours prior to the service, a charge for the full day of service will be charged to the account. 

Invoicing

The invoice week is from Monday to Sunday.  A&B Pet Care, LLC will send an invoice email detailing the services provided and the invoice amount due for the week.  

Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice email.  Invoices can be paid with cash, check (made out to A&B Pet Care, LLC), Zelle, or Cash App ($spunkydd).  The week after a payment is received, an "acknowledgement of receipt" email will be sent.  This email serves as your receipt.


If the scheduled service exceeds $500, a deposit for half of the total service is required prior to the service.

Late Payments

If an account is more than 30 days late, a late fee of 2% of the balance due will be added to the account each month the account is unpaid. 

Services will not be scheduled until the balance is paid in full.  Once paid in full, pre-payment of future services will be necessary.

Returned Checks

If a check is returned on an account, a $40 returned check fee will be charged to the account.

Holidays

For services that occur on a holiday, an extra holiday fee will be added to the account.  For walks and drop-ins, it will be an extra $10 holiday fee.  For pet sitting, it will be an extra $25 holiday fee.

Holidays include:  New Year’s Eve, New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, the 4th of July, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday), Christmas Eve, and Christmas.

Pet Vaccinations

For all services, pet records must be provided to prove all pets are current on the following vaccines:

The records can be a physical hard copy, electronic, or a photo of the records.

Inclement Weather

In the event of bad weather conditions (snow, flooding, dangerous driving conditions, etc.), the safety of everyone is our first priority. 

Depending upon the circumstances, services may be delayed or cancelled by A&B Pet Care, LLC.  If service changes are necessary, the client will be contacted as soon as possible. 

On days that the federal government is closed, services will be cancelled.  If special arrangements are necessary due to ill pets or emergency personnel schedules, call A&B Pet Care, LLC to discuss the circumstances.


In the case of extreme heat and rain, pets will be taken out for a potty break.  After the potty break, they will return inside where they will receive play time and affection for the remainder of the service time.

Physical Keys

For all services, a physical key must be provided to A&B Pet Care, LLC, even if a key code entry is available.  In the key code entry instance, the key is a backup in case of a power outage or dead batteries during the assignment.  The key will have a special code assigned to it that is NOT traceable to the residence.


There will be a $10 pickup/drop off fee charged if the client does not want the key to permanently stay in the possession of A&B Pet Care, LLC. This fee does NOT apply to the original Meet and Greet.

Referrals

Referrals are extremely important to the success of a business.  If an existing client refers A&B Pet Care, LLC to a new client, the existing client will receive a $25 credit to their account after the new client completes their first service.  This credit is good for 6 months.

Birthdays & Anniversaries

At A&B Pet Care, LLC, we love a celebration.  A pet’s birthday is a great day to celebrate.  On the day of a pet’s birthday, a $25 credit will be added to the account.  If the pet’s birthday is unknown, the birthday credit will be added to the account on January 1st of the year.  The credit is good for 6 months.


Client longevity is very important to A&B Pet Care, LLC.  We consider our clients as part of our pack.  On the day of a client’s annual anniversary, a $25 credit will be added to the account.  The client’s annual anniversary is the day that the contract was signed.  The credit is good for 6 months.


This policy is effective as of February 1, 2022.

COVID-19

At A&B Pet Care, LLC, we respect the privacy of all parties decision to vaccinate or not vaccinate against Covid-19.  Regardless of the vaccination status of all parties, it is our policy to wear masks during the execution of our services and meetings.  We will use hand sanitizer prior to entering the premises and after exiting the premises.  If requested, gloves can be worn inside of the client’s home.  


The exception to the mask rule is during the In-Client-Home Pet Sitting service.  During this service, the pet care provider will bring disinfecting products (sprays and wipes) to disinfect the home upon arrival and before departure.  All rooms that are occupied during the stay will be sprayed.  All high touch surfaces will be wiped down.
